Donations

Ramakrishna Math, Pune is a branch of the worldwide Ramakrishna Math and Mission with its headquarters at Belur (West Bengal). Established in 1984, the Pune Math has been actively involved in organizing religious lectures, discourses, seminars etc. for the spiritual guidance and advancement of the devotees. Swami Vivekananda highly stresses the need for all-round development of personality. Swamiji’s dictum ‘Shiva Bhave Jiva Seva’ has been the inspiration for our philanthropic activities.

We thankfully accept donations for the following activities:

  1. Medical Activities : We provide medical treatment and facilities at nominal fees at the well equipped Polyclinic with the help of highly qualified staff. Patients are not discriminated on any grounds of race, caste or creed. A Mobile Dispensary caters to rural patients. You may specify that you wish to contribute for the 'Movable Property Fund (Medical)'.

  2. Educational Activities - Prajna Vardhini:This unique Personality Development program has been instituted at the Math premises to help aspiring youth by providing them skills to face the competitive job scene.

  3. Balaka Sangh: Children from the neighbourhood are helped with their education by providing free coaching by good teachers on the premises. They are also given milk and nutritious pulses in the mornings. Donations to this fund will help us in catering to the needs of these children.

  4. Library Fund: You may help our library by donating funds or in kind, in the form of books, sponsoring subscriptions to periodicals, magazines, books etc. More information can be had by contacting the librarian. Used books as donation in kind are usually refused, unless they are rare books in good condition.

  5. Puja and Celebration: You may also contribute donations to the regular Puja and Celebrations of the Math.

  6. Land and Building Fund: Donations to this fund help us in the regular maintenance of the site, buildings etc. of the Math.

  7. Sadhu Medical Fund: Donations to this fund help us in catering to the monastic inmates of the Math.

We are grateful for your support and help in our humble efforts to serve the society.

Donations to the Math are exempted from Income-tax under 80-G. Donations can be made through cash or you may send your crossed cheque/DD payable to ‘Ramakrishna Math, Pune” to our postal address. We accept foreign currency donations also. A receipt will be sent to you in due course.
