Ramakrishna Math, Pune is celebrating the silver jubilee year (2008-2009) on completing it's 25 years of service to the society. To commemorate this occasion, a series of events are being organized by the Math, such as cultural programmes, spiritual retreats, youth camps, publication of special issues & many more. The events are enumerated below:  

A) Broadcasting of 'Vachanamrit' on All India Radio (AIR) Pune - 60 episodes will be broadcasted from 1st July 2008 to 31st August 2008, daily, from 5.40 am to 5.50 am, on the renderings from ‘Sri Ramakrishna Vachanamrit’ in Marathi on ‘Akashwani’ Pune. Around 8–10 seconds will be allocated for sponsor announcement.

B) Discourses & Lectures at Public Hall – Public discourses will be organized in various parts of the city in order to reach the masses. Senior monks of Ramakrishna Order & eminent speakers will be invited to discuss on the solutions for work-a-day problems of life. One such discourse is scheduled on October 2008.

C) Distribution of Books - We contemplate to distribute nearly 5000 books on value education, both in English & Marathi, to the students from class V to X at subsidized rates.

D) Spiritual Retreat for Bhava-dhara Centers- A two days spiritual retreat for young enthusiastic volunteers & office-bearers of the Bhava-dhara centers throughout Maharashtra will be organized during December 2008 to inspire and guide them to carry out various functions of the centre in spiritual zeal.

E) Residential Spiritual Retreat for the devotees – Devotees across Maharashtra will be invited to participate in the two days spiritual retreat during December 2008 to help their spiritual seeking under able guidance of the senior Swamis of the Order.

F) Calendar of Swami Vivekananda - We shall be distributing 5000 calendars at subsidized rate, which will have pictures of Swami Vivekananda suffixed with his inspiring and strength giving utterances.

H) Youth Festival - A Two days youth festival will be organized in January 2009 for college youths of the city. Many a renowned personalities from the different sectors of the society will be on the stage to inspire and guide the youths. Around 1500 youth are expected to benefit from this endeavor.

I) National Level Seminar - A national level seminar on the theme of ‘The eternal values of the changing society’ is proposed to be organised during November 2008.

J) Silver Jubilee Souvenir - A Special Silver Jubilee Souvenir issue will be released, which will have valuable articles from great thinkers and renowned writers. A dedicated advertising section is allocated for the generous devotees and admirers to help the activities of the Math.

K) Nationwide Essay CHALLENGE - We aspire to organize a national level essay writing competition wherein we are expecting participants from about 15000 colleges throughout the country. The winners will be given mementos along with grand prizes.

L) Cultural / Music Festival- A Four-day Cultural / Music festival ‘Bhakti-Rang’ is planned during December 2008. Leading artists and classical musicians will perform at the program.

You can introduce those near acquaintances of yours to the Math who can financially or physically help our Cause. All the donations to the Math are eligible for deduction from Income Tax under section 80-G of Income Tax Act 1961. Donations in foreign currency are also accepted.
